An award-winning concept artist and digital matte painter Yvonne Muinde, whose credits include Avatar, The Hobbit, Black Panther, Game of Thrones, Captain Marvel, and over 30 other films and TV shows. After a global career across the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, she returned to Nairobi to lead and found Ikweta Arts, delivering world-class visual storytelling and original content for productions locally and worldwide.

An Actor, storyteller, martial arts expert, and VFX film veteran of First Nation’s and African American descent. Phillip has a career spanning three decades; he has worked on What Dreams May Come, The Matrix, Hollow Man, Happy Feet, Tintin, Iron Man, Avengers: Infinity War, and more. He has performed stunts, choreographed fight sequences, and guided motion capture performances. Formerly a Production Services Supervisor at Digital Domain, Phillip now co-leads Ikweta Arts in Nairobi, bringing world-class film production and creative expertise to international productions.

A seasoned filmmaker with 8 years of experience working across 20+ African countries on movies, documentaries, commercials, and wildlife films. Passionate about storytelling and visual communication, I specialize in cinematography, digital image technology, 3D gimbal operation, and licensed drone piloting, capturing dynamic and immersive footage. His work has contributed to award-winning projects, and he is committed to pushing his craft further to tell impactful, memorable stories.
NAVID LANCASTER
Music composer
Navid Lancaster is an award-winning Trinidadian Musician, Film Composer and Sound Designer. He composes music that invokes emotions for award-winning Films, Video Games, Mobile Applications and Animation. Notably, his collaborative work with Anthony Phills has earned high-profile recognitions including multiple International Design Awards, Anthem Awards and Gold at the 2025 Telly Awards.
WANJIRU M. NJENDU
Festival Strategist
Wanjiru Njendu is an award-winning filmmaker whose creative imagination earned her the nickname 'Magic' at a young age. Her films have screened at over 300 festivals worldwide, collecting numerous awards and accolades; including a short film that was acquired by Hulu/Disney through 20th Digital under a feature option. She also served as a shadowing director on the Netflix series Daybreak.
Wanjiru’s industry experience includes having worked with Walt Disney Studios, ABC Television, and Universal Pictures. At Universal, she was part of creative marketing teams for major franchises like Fast & Furious, Ride Along, and Despicable Me, and multiple Academy Award campaigns for the studio’s films.
During the pandemic, she filmed a climate-action documentary series created by her sister, Built for Good Africa, which highlights green building innovations across the continent. Wanjiru has multiple scripted film and TV projects in active development and is attached to direct several upcoming features. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
